Conoscere la Romania, forum al Gruppo Abele
Si intitola “Conoscere la Romania” il ciclo di incontri che il Gruppo Abele promuove con l’associazione italo-rumena “Fratia” a Torino, dove vive la maggiore comunità di immigrati rumeni d’Italia e d’Europa: una comunità silenziosa e integrata, lontana dai clamori (e dalle strumentalizzazioni xenofobe) che hanno accompagnato recenti episodi di cronaca nera, a Milano e Roma. Il primo appuntamento, il 28 aprile nella sala convegni del Gruppo Abele in corso Trapani 91/b, affronta il tema “L’immigrazione romena in Italia”.
Ai lavori intervengono Antonio Ricci della Caritas / Migrantes, il fondatore del Gruppo Abele, don Ciotti, l’assessore torinese all’integrazione Ilda Curti, l’assessore provinciale Aurora Tesio alle pari opportunità con il collega Salvatore Rao, assessore alla solidarietà sociale, don Fredo Olivero dell’ufficio pastorale per i migranti dell’arcidiocesi di Torino e Pietro Cingolani dell’università di Torino, ricercatore presso la fondazione Fieri e autore del libro “Romeni d’Italia”.
I successivi incontri avranno come tema la storia e la cultura della Romania (il 26 maggio) con l’ex console generale di Romania a Milano, Mircea Gheordunescu, la scrittrice e giornalista Violeta Popescu e Diana Pavel Cassese, giornalista e referente del Centro interculturale di Verbania); la realtà della comunità romena in Piemonte (il 23 settembre) col prefetto di Torino, Paolo Padoin, il deputato rumeno Violer Badea, Fredo Olivero della Pastorale migranti e dirigenti della direzione didattica di Torino; e infine la Romania turistica (il 27 ottobre) con Violeta Popescu e Ioana Cuitre, responsabile dell’ente turistico rumeno presso l’ambasciata di Roma. Tutti gli incontri saranno moderati dalla giornalista Viorica Nechifor.
